How to update stock inventory in ChecKmate
Keeping stock levels right means your POS, website and reports always know what you have to sell. You can update one product at a time, or count lots of products at once with an inventory count.
Update one product
Step 1: Open Products
On the Dashboard, open the Products module.
Step 2: Open the product
Find the product - scroll, or type its name in the search bar - and click it.
Step 3: Change the stock level
Open the Inventory tab. Each branch where the product is available has its own Stock Level - type the new quantity for that branch. A branch whose Available switch is off does not stock the product; switch it on first if it should.
The Reorder Point beside it is optional: when stock falls to that number, Checkmate flags the product as running low.
Step 4: Save
Press Update Product. The new stock level is used on the POS straight away and recorded in the product's stock history.
Update many products at once (inventory count)
Doing a stock take? On the Products page press Inventory, then Inventory Count.
Every product is listed with the Amount in Stock Checkmate expects. Type what you actually counted into Actual Count - the Difference column shows how far off each one is. Save and press done when you have finished.
- Use Print, Export Excel or Export PDF to get a count sheet to take to the shelves.
- Products whose stock comes from their ingredients show a dash instead of a box - update those ingredients in Recipes & Ingredients instead.
