How to Uninstall & Reinstall Checkmate PWA

If Checkmate keeps misbehaving after you have closed it and opened it again, uninstalling the app and installing it fresh usually fixes it. Your sales, products and settings are safe - they are kept by Checkmate, not on your device.

Step 1: Uninstall Checkmate

Windows computer:

  1. Press the Windows key (or click Start) and type Checkmate.
  2. Right-click Checkmate in the results and choose Uninstall, then confirm.

Android phone, tablet or till:

  1. Press and hold the Checkmate icon.
  2. Tap Uninstall (or drag it to Uninstall) and confirm.

iPhone or iPad: press and hold the Checkmate icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.

Step 2: Install it again from checkmateposhub.com

  1. Open Chrome or Edge and go to checkmateposhub.com.
  2. Install it from the browser:
    • Chrome on a computer: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or the three dots at the top right > Cast, save and share > Install page as app.
    • Edge on a computer: the three dots at the top right > Apps > Install this site as an app.
    • Chrome on Android: the three dots at the top right > Add to Home screen > Install.
    • Safari on iPhone or iPad: the Share button > Add to Home Screen > Add.
  3. Open Checkmate from the new icon and sign in with your usual email and password.

Reinstalling the Windows, Android or Apple app

Make sure no sales are waiting to sync, then uninstall ChecKmate POS the usual way for your device (Windows: Settings > Apps; Android: hold the app icon > Uninstall; iPhone or iPad: hold the icon > Remove App). Then install it again: Install it from your device's app store - the Microsoft Store on Windows, the Play Store on Android, the App Store on an iPhone, iPad or Mac - by searching for ChecKmate POS.
