How to transfer stock between branches
Step 1: Open Transfers
Open Products and choose the Transfers tab. You start on Create Transfer.
Step 2: Fill in the transfer
- Choose the From Branch (sending the stock) and the To Branch (receiving it).
- Add a Transfer Reason if you like.
- Press Add Product, choose the product - the list shows how much stock the sending branch has - and enter the Quantity. Switch to Ingredients to move ingredients instead.
- Under each line you see both branches' stock before and after the move - here Draxhall goes from 1,151 to 1,127 and Ocho Rios from 33 to 57.
- Press Create Transfer.
Step 3: Approve, ship and receive
Open Transfer History. Each transfer moves through these steps, using the button on its row:
- Pending - press Approve.
- Approved - press Ship when the stock leaves. It comes off the sending branch.
- Shipped - the receiving branch presses Receive when it arrives. It is added to their stock.
At any step before it is received you can press Cancel. A received transfer can be put back with Revert.
Good to know
- Search Transfer History by transfer number, branch or product, filter by status, or pick a date range.
- Each row shows who created the transfer, the last status change and who received it.
- You need permission to manage transfers to approve, ship or receive them.
