How to receive goods against a purchase order

Here Corn Curls had 1,151 in stock before the delivery.

Step 1: Mark it received

Check the delivery against the PO. Then, in Purchase Orders, press Actions on the PO and choose Mark Received.

Step 2: Confirm

ChecKmate asks you to confirm, because receiving updates your stock and cannot be undone. Press Confirm.

You see that the purchase order was received and the stock updated, and its status changes to Received.

The stock goes up

The quantities on the PO are added to the branch. Corn Curls went from 1,151 to 1,175 with the 24 received (then 1,173 after 2 torn bags were returned).

Good to know

• The whole PO is received at once. If part of the delivery is missing or damaged, receive it and record a Purchase Return for what you send back - see How to return goods to a supplier.
