How to generate barcodes for products

Step 1: Press Generate Barcodes

Open Products and press Generate Barcodes. ChecKmate gives every product that has no barcode a new one, and tells you how many it updated - here, 4 products.

Step 2: Use them

• Each product's barcode shows on its card and in its Primary Barcode field.
• Products that already had a barcode keep it.
• At the POS, scan the barcode with a scanner or the camera button in the search bar, or type it into search.
• Extra barcodes for the same product (for example a case and a single) go on the product's Barcodes tab.

Good to know

• If a product arrives with the manufacturer's barcode, type or scan that into Primary Barcode instead - then you do not need to label it.
