How to create and manage product categories

Step 1: Open Manage Categories

Open Products and press Manage Categories. You see All Categories with a count, and a Create New Category box at the top.

Step 2: Create a category

Type the name (for example Weekend Specials) and press Create. It appears in the list straight away and on the POS category bar.

Pictures, renaming and deleting

• Suggest finds a picture for the category; the x removes the picture.
• The pencil renames it.
• The bin deletes it. Move its products into another category first.

Good to know

• A product can be in more than one category.
• Favorites is a special category for your quickest sellers - it shows first on the POS.
