How to connect your own domain to your online store

Step 1: Enter your domain

In Online Store > Storefront, find Custom Domain. Type your domain in Your Domain - the main domain only, like mystore.com; www is set up automatically. Press Connect Domain.

Step 2: Change your nameservers

ChecKmate shows you 2 nameservers. Sign in where you bought your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap and so on), find the nameserver settings for the domain, and replace the existing nameservers with these two.

Step 3: Verify

Back in ChecKmate, press Verify Now - or just wait, it checks every 30 seconds. The status changes from Pending Nameservers to Active. The secure padlock (SSL) is set up for you, and it is usually live within 5-15 minutes (sometimes up to 24 hours).

Good to know

• Your booking link and store links switch to your domain once it is active.
• If you use email on the domain, check with us before switching nameservers so your email settings come across.
• Press Remove Domain to go back to your ChecKmate store address.
