How to change or add prices to products in ChecKmate POS

Every product has a base price - what it sells for everywhere. If one branch should charge something different, you can give that branch its own location price. Here is how to set both.

Step 1: Open Products

On the Dashboard, open the Products module.

Step 2: Open the product

Find the product - scroll, or type its name in the search bar - and click it to open it.

Step 3: Change the base price

On the Basic Info tab, type the new price into Base Price. This is the price at every branch that does not have its own price.

Step 4 (optional): A different price for one branch

Open the Inventory tab. Each branch where the product is available has a Location Price box - type that branch's price there. Leave it at the base price if the branch should charge the normal price.

Step 5: Save

Press Update Product to save. Changing several products? Update and Next saves this one and opens the next product straight away.

Good to know

• The new price shows on the POS, your website and new invoices as soon as you save. Sales you have already made keep the price they were sold at.
• Products with variants (sizes, flavours) can add an extra price per variant on the Variants tab - see How to add variant & prices for attribute values.
