How to cancel or void an order (PIN authorisation)

Remove an item or clear the cart

Press the x on a cart line, or Clear Cart (the x in the cart toolbar). The Void Authorization Required window opens. Choose a user allowed to void and enter their 4-digit PIN. You will see Item Removed or Cart Cleared with who approved it.

Cancel an open order

Close the order's tab at the top, or open menu > Orders and press Cancel on it. Cancel Authorization Required asks for the PIN of someone with order management permission.

Expired orders

When you open a register, orders more than 8 hours old must be cancelled first - press Cancel All and enter a PIN.

Good to know

• Every void and cancel is recorded with who approved it.
• To give money back for a completed sale, use a refund instead.
