How to add a tip and a service charge

Tips

At Checkout, press Add Tip. Choose Percentage (tap a preset or enter a custom %) or Fixed Amount, choose how the tip is being paid, and press Apply Tip. Use Edit Tip or Remove Tip to change it.

Service charge

Press Add Discount and open the Service tab. Choose Percentage or Fixed Amount, tap a quick option (+5%, +10%, +15%, +18%, +20%) or type the value, and press Add Service Charge. It shows in the cart as Service Charge.

Good to know

• Cash tips count towards the expected cash when the register is closed, and all tips appear in the Z-Report's tips summary.
• Tips owed to staff can be paid with payroll - see How to track and pay staff commissions.
