A guide to the most useful reports
Step 1: Open Reports
Open Reports from the Dashboard. Choose the Business and Location at the top, or switch on All branches combined. The Sales Trend chart shows your sales over time.
Step 2: Find a report
Scroll down, or type in Search reports. Reports are grouped into Point of Sale, Operations, Employee & HR, Inventory & Waste, Financial, Marketing & Sales and more. Click a report to open it.
The reports owners use most
- Daily Sales - total revenue for a day, by payment method and by hour. Pick the date and register; print the X-Report or Z-Report from here.
- Register Summary - cash register activity and reconciliation for each session.
- Discrepancies - every shortage and overage found when registers were closed, and who ran the register.
- Sales by Employee - how much each staff member sold.
- Cashier Close Report and Cash In & Cash Out - blind closes and money moved in and out of the drawer.
Step 3: Filter, export and print
Most reports have From Date and To Date filters, plus filters such as employee, register or payment method. Press Export PDF or Export Excel to save or print it. Use the arrows at the top to move to the next report without closing.
Good to know
- Times are in your business's time zone.
- Ask the reports assistant (bottom right) a question about your figures in plain words.
